We have a large and complicated roof that had 100 year old standing seam metal and then the original cedar shakes beneath that. The 1840 Greek Revival of course predates the invention of plywood, so all new sheathing was required as well. New Drip edge, ice and water shield, roof ridge vent where there was none, building a new custom roof access hatch and flashing and tarring around 4 chimneys. This would be remarkable if they could do all this in the scheduled 2 days- I’m here to tell you- the team started to arrive around 7:30 am and the last truck drove away at 5:30pm with the job DONE! In ONE Day, Folks!!! There were 4 lead carpenters and slew of qualified, adept, hard workers. But, I want to really highlight the owner of the company, Rob- who has been so present, responsive, fair, considerate, knowledgeable and kind. We are also having solar panels installed and RJW is their preferred roofer. We had no less than 5 estimates and RJW was the best price, and the best rated. It was an easy decision, I heartily recommend. Of note- the mess outside was wild during the day, but the exterior clean up was incredibly thorough. That said, they don’t do inside roof debris attic clean up- you’ve been warned- plan and prepare accordingly.
